Chu calls for wind production tax credit - Congress needs to pass a wind production tax credit to help manufacturers that serve the wind industry avoid layoffs, Energy Secretary Steven Chu said Thursday.

It has already been shown in Europe that wind has done little to decrease CO2 emissions but individuals and businesses not involved in "green" generation are expected to continue forking over their income taxes so that BP, GE, Google, Duke Energy, and a host of other "green" investors do not have to pay theirs.  The only green they are investing in is tax credits because it is free money.  Think about it for a minute--how much money does a typical business have to spend once their facility is already built to make a sufficient profit to owe a dollar in taxes.  Once the green investor has built his wind farm, he has to spend very little compared to other businesses but we are giving him money he would have to work for otherwise.

The PTC program is a BOONDOGGLE  of the highest order and this Energy Secretary is either an educated idiot or a part of a program to reduce the US to third world status.
