A Service of Energy CentralEnergyBlogs.com Logo

As we go along it is plainly clear that standardization of Distribution networjk and Supply side standards are equally or more important. After all if there is no capacity in the distribution grid to transfer power flowsand guarantees the reliable power to consumers no amount of IT engineering is going to work. Same applies to source of Supply - generation standards. We can not design so called smart grids without deciding and fixing these two essential constraints to a smart grid. While I do have an outlook on all this but I want readers to give it a thought and come up with solutions. It is also plainly clear that Except the type A circuits which could be smart already except VAR control , Type B and C circuits can hardly be made smart without some sort of onsite generation - that is if we want economic solutions

Type A is for continivous supply of power, Type B that can take two hours of failure, Type C are rural circuits
