While lot of data might flow into computer it is the content of indformation that is important or called enthalphy of information

Information could be guided by fields of knowledge , or by perception or by parametric/ topological etcAbsrtract information is in the form of ideas/ mathematics etc.There are qualitative spects related to all and controlling info covers all, part of which is subjective and part objective.There are three pyramids of these one based on material and energy, other on economics, third based on information. The third one is nost important because it is based on the other two pyramids.Now if the information is available from two pyramids then it needs to be ascertained at what point of the puramids we are.The controlloing information can not be obtained by the computers alone by analysis but it contains also subjective information and other elements.Hence it is necssary to hone the methodologies for controlling information continivously.Tools may be available to solve these problems by computer analysis but all the results needs to be checked against actual results of the decision and therby go back to determine whether the content importance was right.Therefore the deluge of data may not be such a poroblem as most of it may not contain actionable information.

While determining all this it is necssary to fix goals and tasks that are to be achieved In our case of Smart gridand Smart metering we are some where in the middle of these pyramids.Information is available that Technological and material aspects are ready but not fully mature because they are very expensive and will have adverse effect on economy of energy.So on the economic pyramid it is some where at the one third of achieving feasibility on large scale deployment without govt support.That is economic development has not kept pace with the technological development.So the decision making can only be based on other considerations such as national lead in these activities and other factors as development of furthur technical people.It is only a partial goal So the goal and tasks need revision- Technologies must be made cheap enough to deploy!
