There appears to be no Smart grid without a definitive Energy policy.Test Case India- There does not appear to be any energy policy at all. Coal plants do not get coal in a country which  has often talked about lot of coal mines. 600000 Villages do not have electricity when sun is always there most of the time.There is talk of shale gas but no drilling for it.All over the world gas prices are down but in India it is going up

65 years of Independence and there is no river control plan worth the name. One state is completely under water right now after Monsoon arrived.Smart grid will go out of Window before we know it. in such a scenario. Power shortages are crippling the economy. There is no definitive action plan to address it except  statements

It is lesson for all to know what needs to be done before
