Every now and then someone writes something and puts it on the internet that is truly extraordinary and a piece of work.  If newspapers still did the research like Keryn and STOPPATHWV and wrote like this, the paper industry would be thriving today.  The internet didn't beat print.  Print just got lazy.

In this blog Keryn shares with us about Section 1222 of the 2005 EnergyPA.  This obsure little part of a monster bill during the Cheney Administration is now being used by a venture capital start up company seeking to build their powerline any way possible.

This blog below is woth reading.  Whether you work in the industry or a ratepayer, this is some good reaing material!

While it didn't make it to Keryn's blog, here's my favorite quote about Section 1222 from Jimmy Glotfelty of CLean Line Energy.  It's all about the eminent domain power.

“Right now in Arkansas, we’ve been turned down to be a utility because we don’t serve state customers,” Glotfelty said. “Until we can find a way around that, this would allow us to move forward to get transmission built.”
