Considering the widening gap between supply and demand, world's largest economies India and China are looking forward to installation of power generating facilities.

While the planned addition  targets in capacity for base load are likely to be missed by 10-20 percentage points, the gap in meeting peaking shortage is likely to be even larger.

This would bring great business opportunities for power rentals. There was an earlier estimate that the power rental market worldwide is expected to touch over 700 million dollars annually by 2008. But with the news now filtering out of these two countries alone, are we going to see the figures cross 1000 milliion this year?
