Thanks for generating a new insight into coal to liquid alternative for clean energy.

As it appears CTL is out of place in the present greenhouse-gas constrained world.To improve their greenhouse gas emission balance, consideration may eventually be given to capturing the CO2 emitted by these units and storing it in geological formations, which would cost an additional $10 to 20/bbl.

member photo What improvement could be made in CTL if nuclear energy provided the hydrogen stream for the liquefaction process? Such a hydrogen stream would be entirely free of carbon dioxide emissions.
