There is immense potential for solar power plants both PV and CSP type in India. where there is likley to be little possibility of meeting the power demand in next twenty years!

Sun shine is plentiful out here and there are large locations where CSP plants can be installed very near to energy consumption centers. However corruption being the main reason of all good plans failing ,all such missions are likely to fail in no time - say within a year .So thanks to our antiquated official dom and corruption at all levels in energy sector - rest assured we are not going anywhere on this or any other mission!

Sunny Greetings
You said very correct. Reverse brain drain is quite possible, if Govt of India is ready to accept to install power plants with solar and other renewables.

As you said, any power will be good for India. Interested NRIs also keep away to be away from these projects due to several obstacles in the way.

member photo Dear Mr.Mishra,
Yes Sir!! One agrees with you Sir, 1000%. As per the budget we require 78,000MW of installed CAPACITY with a 20% increase per annum and most of the sme was dependenat on the 1,2,3 and that is under heavy Politicisation at all fronts -International and National thus the END of this source. On the RENEWABLES I agree with you that we can have scores of 'STANAD ALONE SYSTEMS' which do not effect the Kyoto Protocols and do not disturb the delicate eco- balance. What you have stated I have been through the same when I got my Micro Hydels eatablished in the inaceesible regions ot Uttaranchal, a chain of these and the Rivulets can easily give 4/5Kw of 'GREEN POWER' and thus have a 'GREEN GRID' but who is listening all the ' RUSTED ARCHAIC BRITISH SYSTEM' requires is every ones guess!!!
Wish all ENERGY BLOGGERS the best!!!
Thanking You
Best Wishes
