A Service of Energy CentralEnergyBlogs.com Logo

As an energy regulatory attorney with over three dozen appeals (most on my own, but some as counsel to other firms) under my belt, I'm always thinking about the endgame when I represent clients in FERC proceedings.  In particular, I am obsessed with trying to keep the record below organized so that if the case ever goes up to federal circuit on appeal, I'll cut down on the time needed to prepare the record.

I've gotten so efficient at keeping my documents ordered that I figured, why not make them available to others and save them some time- while sharing a little about how I run my firm in the process. And so, I am making available the FERC Order No. 1000 bundled product - a 5000 page compilation of the FERC Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, the comments, reply comments, Order No. 1000 and the rehearing requests.  While compiling the document, I also decided to annotate Order No. 1000 so that you can link to all of the caselaw, statutes and regulations cited in the Order.  The material is all freely accessible on the web so you can still read it even without access to LEXIS.

You can download the materials here - http://www.lawofficesofcarolynelefant.com/fercfights/?p=467.  Please give me a shout and let me know what you think!
