Energyblogs.com was created to encourage open communication and foster connections between energy professionals. The writer of any blog is responsible for the content shared. Since Energyblogs.com is a venue for free expression, we do not censor the content. However, in order to maintain the values and integrity of the site and limit abuse that could threaten our ability to provide the service, we have developed the following Content Policy that will govern all submissions.
Illegal Uses Prohibited
Energyblogs.com may not be used for any unlawful purpose, such as to operate a phishing site or pursue any other illegal activity.
Protecting Privacy and Identity
Participants are not permitted to mislead others about their identity or assume another person’s name when writing a blog. Furthermore, bloggers are not permitted to disclose another person’s confidential information including (but not limited to) credit card numbers, social security number, address, phone number etc.
Defamatory Content, Pornography and Libel
Bloggers are not to defame the character of others, use hate language or include adult (pornographic) material on Energyblogs.com. A blog shown to contain such information may be removed from public view.
Unlawful, fraudulent or libelous information is not permitted. If we believe information to be damaging, we reserve the right to remove the statement. However, the content of any blog is the sole and exclusive responsibility of the individual blogger, not of Energy Central or Energyblogs.com.
Non-Commercial Use
Energyblogs.com is intended for energy industry professionals to share ideas, opinions and other news of interest to the industry. It may not be used to advertise or promote products, services or companies. Anyone using it for that purpose will have their account deactivated.
Copyrighted Materials
Get permission from the creator before using copyrighted material in your blog. Energy Central responds to notices of infringement of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If a posting is blocked to comply with DMCA, we will attempt to contact the blogger so they may rectify the situation and have their blog reinstated.
